Lloyd Glenn Daulton, age 88, of
Nancy, passed from this life on Friday, November 18, 2016, at
his residence, surrounded by loved ones.
Lloyd was born on May 8, 1928,
in the Naomi Community, son of the late Luther and Bessie Dagley
Daulton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Lloyd was a nationally known and industry revered retired
horseman and had earned the nickname, “Maverick”. He was a
member of the United States Trotting Association. Lloyd
was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife,
Wilma Jean Mills Daulton; his sons, Glenn Cleveland Daulton and
Boyd Luke Daulton, both of Nancy; his daughter, Sherri Lynn
Daulton, of Nancy; his brothers, Garvel (and Pearl) Daulton, of
Dayton, Ohio, Howard (and Nelva) Daulton, of Middletown, Ohio,
Carthel (and Marilyn) Daulton, of Nancy, and Forrest (and
Janice) Daulton, of Middletown, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jeffrey
(and Bridgett) Taylor, Jocelyn Daulton and Abby Principe; his
great-granddaughter, Sadie Taylor; and many nieces, nephews and
Lloyd is preceded in death by
his parents; his brothers, Clifford Daulton and Ralph Fitchue
Daulton; his sisters, Ella Mae Gregory, Eva Francis Lease and
Maritia Phelps; and his grandson, Nathan L. Daulton.
Visitation will be Sunday,
November 20, 2016, after 6:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral
Funeral services will be held
on Monday, November 21, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home
chapel with Bro. Everett Rogers and Bro. Mark Rogers
officiating. Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Military Honors will be conducted by the Monticello-Wayne County
DAV Chapter 105 Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.
