Alvena Wells Henderson, 81, of Somerset , Kentucky , formerly of Eubank, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at her residence.

She was born in McKinney , Kentucky on February 22, 1930, daughter of the late Marion Giles and Sarah Campbell Wells.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church . 

She is survived by two sons, Larry & (Eula) Henderson and Dale & (Shirley) Henderson, both of Eubank, two daughters, Beverly & (Sam) Morgan of Bronston and Brenda & (Raymond) Hranicky of Somerset, ten grandchildren, Jason & (Kristen) Henderson, Jaci & (Reece) Turner, Cori & (Chris) Smallwood, Michael & (Kim) Henderson, Megan & (Tim) Miller, Stephanie Head, Susan Mink, Brandon Hranicky, Sarah Hranicky and Calie Morgan, ten great-grandchildren, Logan Randall, Maddox Mink, Grayson Turner, Charlie Turner, Riley Turner, Xander Metz, Blake Henderson, Chance Smallwood, Addyson Miller and Lydia Alvena Henderson, two brothers, Hershel & (Jewell) Wells of Cincinnati, OH and Elmer Wells of Science Hill, two sisters, Beulah & (Raymond) Naylor and Kathryn Griggs, both of Lexington, KY, special sister-in-law, Stella Ard of Nancy and special caregiver, Debbie Whitis of Somerset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin M. Henderson, who died on November 29, 2010, her parents and two brothers, Bill Wells and Preston Wells.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, February 6, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Fisher officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens .

Visitation will be after 5pm Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
