Anna Marie Elam, age 70
went to visit Jesus in Heaven on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the
Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on June 29,
1940 in Bell County, KY, the daughter of the late George and Mary
Ann Johnson Clontz. She loved being a Mom, Grandmaw, and
housekeeper. Mrs. Elam was a member for over 45 years at the
Sunshine Hill Baptist in London, KY. She had resided in London, KY
for approximately 45 years plus.
Mrs. Elam is survived by
two sons, Bill (and Sharon) Elam of Flemingsburg, KY and Jeffery
Elam of London, KY; a daughter, Regina (and Scott) Baker of
Somerset, KY; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four
brothers, Millard (and Elsie) Clontz of London, KY, Johnny (and
Linda) Clontz of London, KY, Carl Haye (and Tommy Lou) Clontz of
London, KY, and George (and Mary) Clontz of London, KY; four
sisters, Ella Mae (and Kit) Merritt of London, KY, Jenny (and Jim)
Storms of London, KY, Ricky Collins of London, KY, and Nancy Goff
of Somerset, KY; and host of other family and friends.
Along with her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Denton Elam, whom she
married on October 1, 1959 in London, KY; a daughter, Mertie Vela
Elam; and a brother, Billy Ray Clontz.

Visitation for Mrs. Elam
will be Wednesday, January 12th at 5:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home and then on Thursday, January 13th
at 10:00 am at Poynters Chapel Christian Church until time for
services.
Funeral service will be
held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 13th at the
Poynters Chapel Christian Church in London, KY with Bro. Stephen
Sutton officiating. Burial will be in the Poynters Chapel
Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Elam will be Josh Plants, Josh
Elam, Chris Baker, J.J. Hardin, Adam Morrow, and Jamie Elam.
