Arthur
“Pa” Tucker, age 80, of Bronston, KY went to Heaven on
Saturday, June 25, 2011.
He
was born on May 9, 1931 in Delta, KY to the late Mosie and Millie
Hammond Tucker. He was the owner of Tucker Concrete and Tucker
Lumber of Burnside, KY. Mr. Tucker was a member of the Burnside
Masonic Lodge #634, American Chestnut Organization Kentucky
Chapter, Lake Cumberland Square Dancing Club and a charter member
of the Lake Cumberland Riding Club. He was saved and attended the
Liberty Baptist Church in the Kidder community of Wayne County,
KY.
Mr.
Tucker is survived by his wife, Marjorie Hall Hammons Tucker, whom
he married on January 28, 1995 at the Tucker Shelter House in
Bronston, KY; seven sons, Charles (and Charlotte) Tucker of Olive
Branch, MS, Larry (and Debra) Tucker of Bronston, KY, J.C. (and
Della) Tucker of Somerset, Steve Cox of Tennessee, Wayne Cox of
Bronston, KY, Ricky Felts of Corbin, KY, and Marvin (and Vicky)
Hammons of Corbin, KY; three daughters, Jenny Lou (and Darrell)
Morris of Crossville, TN, Vickie (and Steve) Robinette of Corbin,
KY, and Norma (and Gary) Davis of Corbin, KY; three brothers,
Wendell Tucker, Tommy Tucker, and Glen (and Barbara) Tucker, all
of Bronston, KY; six sisters, Lettie Canada of Somerset,
Betty Flynn of Bronston, KY, Ruby Casada of Oberlin, OH, Sue Mae
(and Hoover) Thurman of Frazer, KY, and Cloa (and Freddie) Hardy
of Bronston, KY and Pauline (and Wayne) Flynn of Bronston, KY; his
grandchildren, Kelly (and Troy) Lovell, Shawn Tucker, Julie (and
Mike) Gallagher, Ryan (and Christina) Tucker, D.J. (and Tina)
Morris, Jason (and Daphne) Tucker, Carrie Tucker Whitis, Darren
Morris, Josh (and Tracy) Tucker, Jake (and Tracey) Tucker, Stevie
Cox, John (and Sarah) Cox, Mike (and Lisa) Cox, Joel (and Susan)
Felts, Melissa (and Brian) Klink, Michael (and Jamey) Robinette,
Jessica (and Eric) Angel, Victoria Hammons, and Mikkah Davis;
twenty-eight great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Laura
Tucker of Somerset.
Along
with his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Mildred
Taylor and Ruby Colyer and his three brothers, Eugene
Tucker, Chester Tucker (infancy), and Donald Tucker.
Visitation
will be Tuesday, June 28th at 5:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home with Masonic Rites conducted by the
Burnside Masonic Lodge #634 at 6:00 pm.
Funeral
service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 29th
at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ulanda
Price officiating. Burial will be in the Bronston Cemetery.
