Billy “Bill” Ray Hampton
Billy “Bill” Ray Hampton, age 63, of Somerset passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was
born in Campground Community Pulaski County on April 24, 1944 to the
late Olen Trip and Lizzie Goff Hampton. Billy was a member of the Ansel
Baptist Church. Mr. Hampton is survived by his wife, Thelma Hampton, whom he married on December 15, 1986 in Burnside, KY; three brothers, Paul Eugene (& Evelyn) Hampton of Dayton, OH, Brent (& Wanda) Hampton of Eubank, KY, and Noble Carrol (& Lena) Hampton of Somerset; and a host of nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Albert Hampton, Carl Hampton, Charles Hampton, and Olen Hampton Jr.; three sisters, Velma Lee Silvers, Christine Creekmore, and Ella Mae Bray. Funeral
services for Billy Ray Hampton will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008
at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Bro.
Stanley Childers and Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating. Interment will
follow in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation
will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 6:00pm at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Ansel Baptist Church Building Fund.
