Carl “Buster” Wayne Mounce, age 72 of the Malvin Hill community of Pulaski County, departed this life on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Rockcastle County Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

He was born on May 7, 1938 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Howard Cale Mounce and Edna VanHook Mounce. Mr. Mounce was a retired road grader operator for the Pulaski County Road Department. He was a member of the Love Divine Baptist Church in Somerset, where he served as Sunday School superintendent. Mr. Mounce enjoyed working on cars, lawn mowers, and doing mechanic work. He enjoyed the guitar and banjo and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Mounce is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Mounce) Mounce, whom he married on February 19, 1962 in Somerset; three sons, Carl Wayne Mounce Jr. (and wife, Janet) of Somerset, Timmy Mounce of Somerset, and Allen Mounce (and wife, Cindy) of Somerset; two grandchildren, Krista (and Jeff) Kent of Somerset and Michelle (and Willie) Nelson of Somerset; three great grandchildren, Willie Ray Nelson II, Austin Nelson, and Emily Rose Nelson, all of Somerset; a brother, Denton Mounce of Somerset; three sisters, Betty Hargis (and husband, Russell) of Somerset, Wilene Farmer (and husband, Marlo) of Somerset, and Janet Brinson (and husband, Elwin) of Somerset.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Ina Mounce.

Visitation for Mr. Mounce will be Monday, April 25^th at 6:00 pm at the Love Divine Baptist Church, North Highway 1247 in Somerset.

Funeral service will held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 26^th at the Love Divine Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Acton and Bro. Gary Phelps officiating. Burial will be in the White Lily Cemetery.
