Carolyn Whitson VanAtter

June 21, 1937 - March 31, 2008

Carolyn Whitson VanAtter, age 70, of Somerset passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Mrs. VanAtter was born in Sharonville, OH on June 21, 1937 to the late Delbert Herchel & Elma Mae Thompson Whitson. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother better known by the ones who loved her as Granny. She attended Victory Christian Fellowship.

Mrs. VanAtter is survived by her husband, Carl David VanAtter whom she married March 28, 1966 in Evendale, OH; a son, David & Cindy VanAtter, N. Charleston, SC; 2 daughters, Beth & Mark Ballmer, Zanesville, OH, Debbie VanAtter, Somerset; 2 brothers, Jack William Whitson, Delbert Eugene & Shirley Whitson, both of Somerset; 4 sisters, Greta Dean Arthur, Cincinnati, OH, Alberta Jean & Preston Griffis, Somerset, Clara Ann Dalton, Cincinnati, OH, Frances Lynn & Larry Nichols, Danville, KY; 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Roger Herchel Whitson and a brother-in-law, Paul Arthur.

Funeral services for Carolyn Whitson VanAtter will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Victory Christian Fellowship at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mark Harrell and Rev. Mark Ballmer officiating. Interment will follow in Sinking Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11:00am at Victory Christian Fellowship.
