Charles Glenn Griffin Sr., 85, of Somerset , Kentucky , passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital .

He was born in Woodstock , Kentucky on April 9, 1926.  He was a retired diesel mechanic for Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Woodstock Masonic Lodge and Woodstock Baptist Church .

He is survived by his wife, Flora Cecilia Hunt Griffin of Somerset, two sons, Charles Griffin Jr. & (fiancé Mary Kenner, of New Haven, KY and John Michael Griffin of Live Oak, FL, one daughter, Kathy Jewell Duncan of Selina, TN, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 14, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall officiating.

Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery .

Visitation will be after 11 AM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
