Charles Michael Smiley, age
65 of Nancy, KY departed this life on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at
his home.
He was born on August 27,
1945 in Somerset, KY to Ruth E. Alexander Smiley and the late
Charles B. Smiley. Mr. Smiley was a retired electrician and
a member of the East Somerset Baptist Church. He was an avid UK
sports enthusiast and enjoyed music, dancing, boating, and the
lake.
Mr. Smiley is survived by
his wife, Abynelle Morgan Smiley, whom he married on July 9, 1976
in Jellico, TN; his mother Ruth E. Smiley of Somerset, KY; a
daughter, Heather (and Nick) Tudor of Nancy, KY; a grandchild,
Kaylie Jo Tudor; and a sister, Patricia Catron of Somerset, KY.
He was preceded in death by
his father, Charles B. Smiley.
Visitation for Mr. Smiley
will be Monday, March 21st at 5:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 22nd at the Chapel of
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Dr. G.A. Weigel officiating.
Interment will be in the Clay Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr.
Smiley will be Nick Tudor, Ed Cook, John Genger, Larry Lancaster,
Rick Anderson, Dale Taylor, and Roger Gover.
