Clarence Finley Tomlison

    August 13th, 1940 - March 15, 2011

Mr. Clarence Finley Tomlison, age 70, of the Colo community passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at his home in Science Hill, Kentucky.

He was born to the late Clarence Olaf and Loney Ellen (Hodge) Tomlison on August 13, 1940 in the Colo community of Pulaski County, KY. Mr. Tomlison was an owner/operator retired truck driver with 30 plus years of experience for Super Service Trucking. He honorably served in the United States Army from May 20, 1961 to September 1, 1963. He was a member of the Colo Baptist Church and served as a foster and adoptive parent for nine years. Mr. Tomlison enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, and doing mechanical work.

Mr. Tomlison is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Cameron Tomlison, whom he married on February 8, 1987 in Colo, KY. From this union they were blessed with six children,  Eliot (and Melissa) Tomlison of Somerset, KY., Jessica Tomlison of Science Hill, KY,  Casey Tomlison of Science Hill, KY,  and Adam Tomlison of Science Hill, KY.; two stepsons, Jason Mercer and Jamie Mercer both of Somerset, KY. He is also survived by two brothers; Ronnie (and Jody) Tomlison of Somerset, KY and David (and Anna) Tomlison of Somerset, KY; two sisters, Georgie Tomlison-Baker of Somerset, KY and Loney Faye (and Tony) Whiles of Somerset, KY; grandchildren, Lewis Tomlison, Jacob Gilbreath, Taylor Tomlison, Chiann Mercer, Austin Mercer, Kearah Mercer, Jason Tyler Mercer, Evan Mercer, and Faith Mercer; and two step-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, William Michael Tomlison and three brothers, Oather Tomlison, Billy Tomlison, and Dewey Tomlison.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18th after 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19th in the Memory Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 11:00am with Bro. Donald Kennedy officiating. Interment will be on Monday, March 21st at 11:00am at Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy KY. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
