Cordelia Letner Black, 88, of Eubank , Kentucky , passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in London , Kentucky .

She was born in Scott County, Tennessee on February 9, 1923, daughter of the late Henry and Hettie Slaven.  She was a homemaker and a member of Old Fashioned Faith Baptist Church .  She enjoyed fishing, camping and time with family.

She is survived by two sons, Paul & (Phyllis) Letner of Nancy and Ralph & (Kim) Letner of Nancy, four daughters, Jeanette Richards of Science Hill, Lucille & (James) Chumbley and Mary Lou Letner, both of Eubank and Debbie & (Danny) Shuler of Mt. Vernon, KY, twenty five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Letner, her parents, one son, Junior Letner and four brothers, Walter, Mitchell, Clarence and Austin Slaven.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Ivey officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens .

Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
