Danny W. Pollitt, age 58 of Sardinia, Ohio, departed this life on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Georgetown Ohio Veterans Home. 

He was born on May 28, 1953 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Willard W. and Tressie M. Cain Pollitt.  Mr. Pollitt was of the Baptist faith.  He was a brick layer. 

He is survived by a daughter, Shawnda Pollitt of Somerset, KY; a former step-daughter, Renee Nelson of Somerset; two grandchildren, Brayden Eubank and Tayler West; two brothers, Cary Pollitt of MI and Richard Pollitt of Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Collingsworth.   

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Mill Springs National Cemetery.  Brother Rodney Haggard will officiate.  American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
