Darlene Nicely

August 7, 1931 - April 19, 2008

Darlene Nicely, age 76, of Somerset, formerly of Ohio, departed this life on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the McCreary County Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pine Knot, KY.

She was born on August 7, 1931 in Jabez, Kentucky to the late Shelby and Eva Gadberry Brummett. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Saline Baptist Church of Somerset.

Mrs. Nicely is survived by her husband, Paul, whom she married on June 16,1973 in West Chester, OH; 2 sons, Darrell Wilson of Houston, TX and David (and Pam) Wilson of West Chester, OH; 2 stepsons, Paul (and Felicia) Nicely of Cincinnati, OH and Byron Dawson of Georgetown, KY; a daughter, Shirley (and Bob) Bowers of Cincinnati, OH; 2 stepdaughters, Kathy (and Kenneth) Runyan of Cincinnati, OH and Karen (and Mike) Noble of West Chester, OH; 3 sisters, Mae Johnson of Nancy, KY, Joyce (and N.E.) Oakes of Jabez, KY, and Pearl Roman of Cincinnati, OH; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were parents and a brother, Delbert Brummett.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Schmidt-Dhonau-Galloway Funeral Home Chapel, Reading, OH at 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive family and friends Monday, April 21, 2008 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Burial will be at the Reading Cemetery, Redding, OH.
