Darrell B. Taylor, age 61 of Nancy, KY departed this life on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on February 13, 1949 in Somerset, Kentucky to Fern Coner Taylor and the late Densel M. Taylor. He was a graduate of the Nancy High School Class of 1967, United States Army veteran, and a retired calibration technician for Tecumseh Products.  Mr. Taylor was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Nancy, KY and was the active Sunday School superintendent. He loved his church family and witnessing for the church.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Connie Lou Baird Taylor, whom he married on October 8, 1975; his mother, Fern Coner Taylor of Nancy, KY; a son, Tracy Justin Taylor (and his wife, Deborah) of Nancy, KY; and a sister, Diane Brotherton (and her husband, Ron) of Somerset, KY.

Along with his father, Densel M. Taylor, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed & Beulah Coner and C.T. & Ella Taylor; and his father-in-law, Elmer V. Baird.

Visitation for Mr. Taylor will be Saturday, January 15^th at 5:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 16^th at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Harris and Bro. Lester Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Nancy, KY. Pallbearers for Mr. Taylor will be Billy Coner, Charles Coner, Larry Baird, Jason Turpen, Joe Coner, Wade Baird, Gary Baird, and John Burnett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nelson Ard, Pat White, Linden Taylor, and Chad Pierce.
