David Reid Thornton, age 13
of Somerset, KY departed this life on Friday, March 18, 2011 at
his home.
He was born on May 30, 1997
in Somerset, KY to Robert Thornton and Cathy Thornton. He loved
music, his brothers, to be cuddled and sang to, and to smile.
David is survived by his
parents, Bob Thornton of Somerset, KY and Cathy Thornton of
Somerset, KY; two brothers, Robert Paul Thornton and Thomas Luke
Thornton, both of Somerset, KY; a paternal grandmother, Sue Hoover
Thornton of Somerset, KY; a maternal great grandmother, Ollie
Thornton; two special aunts, Joyce Thornton and Doris Thornton;
and an adopted aunt, Lesley Matlock.
He was preceded in death by
his paternal grandfather, Robert Thornton; maternal grandmother,
Nancy Thornton; and an uncle, David Matthew Thornton.
Visitation for David Reid
Thornton will be Sunday, March 20th at 11:00 am at the
Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with his funeral service to
follow at 2:00 pm. Bro. Emmett Lanham and Bro. Ernie Wyatt will
officiate. Interment will be in the Elk Springs Cemetery in
Monticello, KY. Pallbearers will be Robert Thornton, Paul
Thornton, Luke Thornton, Tony Dobbs, Terry Matlock, and Zack
Trabish.
