Dessie Marie Herrin Todd,
age 94 of Somerset, KY passed from this life into her eternal home
on Monday, February 21, 2011.
She was born on September
16, 1916 in the Bent community of Pulaski County, KY, the daughter
of late Milton Green and Nancy Anne Burkhart Herrin. She was a
homemaker and member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Somerset.
She attended until her health prevented her from going.
Mrs. Todd was married to
William Oscar Todd on December 22, 1932 in Somerset, KY and who
passed away on October 17, 1997.
Surviving her is a son,
William Oscar (& Donna) Todd Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; three
daughters, Gladys (& Jim) Burch of Carmel, IN, Glenda (&
Bill) Canada of Greenwood, IN, and Vivian (& Ben) Thompson of
Somerset, KY; seven grandchildren, Darrin (& Christy) Burch of
Camby, IN, DeLynn (& Dennis) Huff of Indianapolis, IN, Dawn
(& Dennis) Johns of Westfield, IN, Annette (& Andy) Morris
of Franklin, IN, Sharon (& Steve) Hollowell of Greensburg, IN,
Curtis (& Belinda) McKnight of Somerset, KY, Crystal ( &
Tim) Cox of Eubank, KY; ten great grandchildren; a very special
niece, Lexie Bray of Somerset, KY; and a host of other nieces,
nephews, and friends.
Along with her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband, William Oscar Todd; two
infant daughters, Lelia and Linda Todd; a sister, Dovie Lovins;
three infant sisters; six infant brothers; and a special grandson,
William Robert Canada, who died on December 26, 1967.
Visitation for Mrs. Todd
will be Thursday, February 24th at 12 Noon at the
Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her funeral service to
follow at 2:00 pm. Bro. Don Jones and Bro. Randy Wiles will
officiate. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery.
