Doris F. Osborne, age 83 of
Nancy, KY departed this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Lake
Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was on December 4, 1927
in Nancy, KY to the late Arnold and Clara Daulton Marcum. She was
an assembly line worker for Kenner/Hasbro Toy Company in
Cincinnati, OH and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Osborne loved flower
gardening and to read. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Mrs.
Osborne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great
grandmother. She was the best Mom ever and will be sadly missed by
her family.
Mrs. Osborne is survived by
three sons, Carl Mitchell (and Yvonne) Osborne of Foster, KY,
Roger Danny Osborne of Nancy, KY, and Stephen Edward (and Grace)
Osborne of Verona, KY; two daughters, Deborah Kay Rutherford of
Nancy, KY and Sheila Osborne of Nancy, KY; eight grandchildren;
eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Milford (and Mina) Marcum of
Nancy, KY, Wayne (and Marietta) Marcum of Nancy, KY, and Lowell
Marcum of Somerset, KY; and five sisters, Hattie VanHoosier of
Nancy, KY, Beulah Roberts of Cincinnati, OH, Ann New of
Cincinnati, OH, Sophia Bloomfield of Faubush, KY, and Wanda (and
James) Epperson of Nancy, KY.
Along with her parents, she
was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Osborne, whom she
married on October 25, 1948 in Somerset, KY; two sons, Jimmy and
Jay Osborne; a brother, Clifford Marcum; and a sister, Adele
Bolton.
Visitation for Mrs. Osborne
will be Thursday, May 12th at 6:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 13th at the Chapel of
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New officiating.
Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, KY.
