Earl Gene “Bondo”
Gaines, age 63 of Nancy, KY departed this life on Friday, May 6th
at his daughter, Teresa’s residence in Somerset.
He was born on February 13,
1948 in Somerset, KY to the late Woodrow and Marie Minton Gaines.
Mr. Gaines was a self-employed auto body repairman and enjoyed
working on cars his whole life. He attended Sardis United
Methodist Church in Nancy, KY. He will be sadly missed by his
special friends of We Care Medical, Lifeline, and Hospice of Lake
Cumberland.
Mr. Gaines is survived by
a son, Eddie (and Michele) Gaines of Somerset, KY; two daughters,
Teresa (and Steve) Moore of Somerset and Tracy Blevins Beatty of
Somerset ;his grandchildren, Jordan Dykes, Brandi Moore, Chelsie
Loveless, Lonnie Loveless III, Tyler Moore, Amber Moore, Brittany
Gaines, Megan Gaines, Holly Gaines, Brooke Beatty, Brandy Troxtle,
and Bethany Beatty; two great grandchildren, Blake Troxtle and
Faith Forbes; a sister, Betty Tarter of Somerset; and a niece,
Sherry Tarter Rose of Science Hill, KY.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Woodrow and Marie Gaines.
Visitation for Mr. Gaines
will be Sunday, May 8th form 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 9th at the Chapel of
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. David Green and Bro. Mike
Coppersmith officiating. Burial will be in the Norfleet Cemetery
in Nancy, KY. Pallbearers for Mr. Gaines will be Lonnie Loveless,
Brian Moore, Dick Scholl, Pete Langdon, Gary Cook, and Danny
Wilson.
