Eugene “Archie” Campbell, age 78 of Somerset, KY passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born on November 19, 1932 to the late Dallas and Cecil Campbell.  Mr. Campbell was of the Baptist faith.  He retired from Kentucky Frame & Lumber.  He loved to fish. 

Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Evelyn Goines Campbell, whom he married on January 14, 1956; two sons, Phillip (and Garnetta) Campbell of Casey County, KY and Kenny (and Sharon) Roberts of Crab Orchard, KY; a daughter, Judy (and Wayne) Martin of Somerset, KY; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorene (and Charlie) Gibson of Monticello, KY; Mildred Smallwood and Charlene Allen, both of Manchester, KY.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Campbell. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 after 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, KY 42503.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother James Floyd officiating.  Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery.
