Edith Dunsmore, 90, of Science Hill , Kentucky , passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Hyden Health & Rehab in Hyden , Kentucky .

She was born in Carthage , Ohio on May 10, 1921, daughter of the late Oscar and Elizabeth Dalton Roberts.  She was a retired merchant and former owner of Dunsmore Fabrics.  She was a member of West Science Hill Baptist Church , where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Dunsmore, her parents, one brother, Elmer "Bud" Lee Roberts and four sisters, Dorothy Adams, Mickie Morgan, Juanita Roberts and Marie Roberts.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Monday, July 11, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in West Science Hill Cemetery .

Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
