Emogene Mayfield, 79, of Waynesburg , Kentucky , passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at University of Kentucky Medical Center.

She was born in Waynesburg , Kentucky on March 11, 1932, daughter of the late Ernest and Opal Erma Vanover Webb.  She was retired as a phone operator from the Telephone Company.

She is survived by one son, John & (Mistie) Mayfield of Lexington, KY, brothers and sisters, Gilbert Webb, Walton, Webb, Vilas Webb, Byron Webb, June Todd, Joyce Ard, Lynn Webb, Perry Webb, Robert Webb and Deborah Blevins and three grandchildren, James Mayfield, Summer M. Mayfield and Chloe Mayfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jacolyn and Virginia Webb.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Double Springs Cemetery .

Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery .

Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
