Ernest L. Adkins, 81, of Cadiz , Kentucky , passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at Paducah Care & Rehab.

He was born in Cincinnati , Ohio on April 30, 1929, son of the late Luther and Gilla Bray Adkins.  He was a lab technician for Fernald Company in Ross , Ohio . 

He is survived by one son, Russell Adkins of Cadiz , KY and two grandchildren, Kyle Adkins and Jamie Adkins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Ruth Howard Adkins, his parents, one son, Carl Adkins, his brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Pine Thickett Cemetery .

Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
