Eula Weddle

January 16, 1916 - April 19, 2008

Eula Weddle, age 92, of Nancy, KY departed this life on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on January 16, 1916 in the Norfleet community of Faubush, KY to the late Willie and Flora Roberts. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a faithful and lifelong member of the Okalona Baptist Church. She enjoyed embroidery work, cooking, and working in her flowers.

Mrs.Weddle is survived by her 4 children, Ellis (and Betty) Weddle, Della (and Lervie) Dalton, William Leonidas (and Deloris) Weddle, and G. E. (and Lucille) Weddle, all of Nancy, KY; 6 grandchildren, Pam (and Dennis) Hyden, Debbie (and Bill) Vonnahme, Melissa (and Rick) McClendon, Brenda Weddle, Denise (and Jimmy) Lane, and David (and Sue) Weddle; 11 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving her is a sister, Ruth (and Burtis) Roberts of Illinois; and 3 sisters-in-law, Geneva Weddle, Ona Flanagan, and Marie Roberts.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Amos Edison Weddle, whom she married on December 31, 1933 in Faubush, KY and who passed away on September 20, 1950; her parents; an infant son, Joe E. Weddle; 3 brothers, Arthur Roberts (and his wife, Alma), Ralph Roberts (and his wife, Reba), and Ottis Roberts.

She leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Weddle will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. John Zupancic and Bro. J.S. New officiating. Burial will follow in the Hudson Weddle Cemetery, Faubush, KY.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Weddle will be Jimmy Lane, Rick McClendon, Roy Chapman, Steve Merrick, B.J. Burdine, Steve Jenkins, Donnie Burdine, and Dennis Hyden.

Visitation for Mrs. Weddle will be after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home until time for services.
