Gerald S. Carlson December 28, 1924 - March 31, 2008
Mr.
Carlson was born in DeKalb, IL on December 28, 1924 to the late Sam
& Elsie V. Gandy Carlson. He was a Korean Army veteran. He was
involved with Royal Rangers, Boy Scouts and a volunteer firefighter in
Cortland, IL. He was a member of the Tateville Baptist Church. Mr.
Carlson is survived by his wife, Ruth Smith Carlson whom he married
October 8, 1961 in Dekalb, IL; 3 sons, Terry & Cristy Kramer,
Providence Forge, VA, Mike & Sadie Kramer, Arizona, Mark Kramer,
Arizona; 3 daughters, Sharon & Darryle Collingsworth, Somerset, KY,
Lynn Carlson, Danville, KY, Linda Carlson, Bronston, KY; 20
grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Along
with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Johnson. Funeral
services for Gerald S. Carlson will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008
at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Bro David
Meece officiating.
Interment will follow in Somerset Cemetery. Military honors will be
conducted by the American Legion Post # 38 Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 6:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
