Gladys “Mickey” Marie
Lightcap, age 86 of Burnside, KY departed this life on Tuesday,
January 31, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Lightcap was born on
October 11, 1925 in Muncie, IN to the late Jesse and Cora Grice
Emrick. She was a homemaker and of the Lutheran faith. Mrs.
Lightcap was an avid milk glass collector, enjoyed ceramics, and
loved traveling and going on cruises. She was a loving wife,
mother, and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family
and grandchildren.
Mrs. Lightcap married
Charles Lee Lightcap on December 21, 1946 in Dayton, OH and he
survives her.
Along with her husband, she
is survived by a son, Steven B. Lightcap of Burnside, KY; two
daughters, Donna Lightcap of San Diego, CA and Judy (and David)
VerValin of North Aurora, IL; ten grandchildren; and three great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; a sister, Virginia Bowman; and two brothers,
Richard and Jesse Emrick.
The Lightcap family will
receive friends on Friday, February 3rd at 1:00 pm at
the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her memorial
service to held at 2:00 pm. Bro. James Floyd will officiate.
The family requests
