Helen
M. Farmer, age 75 of the Grundy community departed this life on
Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She
was born on March 3,1934 in Somerset, KY, the daughter of Elmer
and Vena Tomlinson Miller. She was a retired press operator for
Palm Beach Clothing Factory and of the Baptist faith. Helen
enjoyed playing bingo at Britthaven, her work at Palm Beach, her
friends at Palm Beach, and her family.
Helen
is survived by three daughters, Pamela Stephens (and Jeff Blevins)
of the Broughton community, Donna Howard (and Jerry) of
Summershade, KY, and Rebecca Phelps (and Jeff) of Somerset, KY;
like a son, Nick Strunk (and Michelle) of Bronston, KY; like a
daughter, Carla Baker (and Matt) of the Poplarville community; her
grandchildren, Jordan Kelsey, Halie Stephens, Justin Blevins,
Austin Blevins, Katreka Norris, Clay Emerson, Tiffany Farmer, Tim
Farmer (and Charity), and Chris Farmer; like grandchildren, Arial
Britt, Alizea Greshaw, Toby Greshaw Jr., Angelina Greshaw, and
Tyson Greshaw; her great grandchildren, Dylan Baker, Ryan Baker,
Mason Strunk, Caleb Strunk, Kaylan Morrow, Kenlee Johnson, Kyla
Johnson, Ethan Norris, Cayden Emerson, Kyler Emerson, Keegan
Arthur, Karlee Arthur, Lakiesha Farmer, Zackery Gaines, Makenzie
Farmer, Kelsey Gaines, Cole Farmer, and Tyler Farmer; a nephew,
Gary Weddle of Ingle, KY; and a niece, Patty Couling (and Dave) of
Mobile, AL.
Preceding
her in death were her parents, Elmer and Vena Miller; husband,
Seldon Vermont Farmer, whom she married on July 7, 1962 in
Jellico, TN; and a sister, Iva Dean Weddle.
Visitation
for Mrs. Farmer will be Tuesday, February 9th at 6:00
pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80,
Somerset.
Funeral
service will be Wednesday, February 10th at 11:00 am at
the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy C.
Wiles officiating. Burial will be in the Poplarville Cemetery.
