Ila K. Wells Dykes, age 76, of the Mt. Victory community departed this life on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on June 13, 1934 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Benjamin F. and Ava Merritt Wells. She was a homemaker and member of the Mt. Victory Baptist Church.

She is survived by the father of her children, Jewell Dykes;  three daughters, Regina (and Glen) Farmer of Somerset, KY, Karen Davis of Science Hill, KY, and Tammy (and Bro. David) Muse of Somerset, KY; a son, Frankie (and Denise) Dykes of Somerset, KY;  her grandchildren, Christy (and Danny) Stevens, Angie Johnson, and Taylor Davis; five great grandchildren, Jacob Stevens, Bryson Stevens, Madison Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Mason Caldwell; a sister, Beulah Addison of Independence, KY; a special friend, Walter Plants; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Otis Wells, Owen Wells, Floyd Wells, and Edgar Joe Wells; and two sisters, Irene Scott and Virgie Wells.

Visitation for Ila will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 2^nd at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Plants and Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
