James David Turner February 23, 1969 - June 12, 2008
Mr.
James David Turner, husband of Tammy Hill Turner, age 39, of Somerset
passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital. He was
born on February 23, 1969 in Somerset to the late Sam Turner and Shirley
Jones Rexroat. He was a forklift operator for Eagle Hardwood Flooring
and attended the Beacon Hill Baptist Church.
He enjoyed golf, watching sports, especially football and
spending time with family and friends. He was dedicated to supporting
and attending his children’s activities and loved them very much! He
was a dedicated husband and father. Mr.
Turner is survived by his wife, Tammy Hill Turner, whom he married on
July 15, 2006 at Beacon Hill Baptist Church; a son, Sammy Turner of
Somerset; a daughter, Brittney Turner of Somerset; a brother, Jeff (and
Billie) Turner of Somerset; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins; his father & mother-in-law, Bill and Kathleen Hill of
Somerset; brother & sister-in-laws, Mark (and Debbie) Hill of
Somerset and Edward (and Lisa) Stevens of Somerset; a sister-in-law,
Jodi (and Bob) Denham of Louisville, KY; and childhood and best friends,
Larry Joe Brinson and Guy Cash, both of Somerset. He was
preceded in death by his parents. Visitation
for Mr. Turner will be Monday, June 16th after 5:00 pm at
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral
service will be Tuesday, June 17th at 11:00 am at the Chapel
of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Dr. John Mark Toby officiating.
Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the James David Turner Memorial Fund or the Gideons Memorial Bible Plan.
