Jane Kay Smith, age 64 of
Eubank, KY, departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at
the University of Cincinnati Hospital, Cincinnati, OH.
She was born on November 9,
1947 in Somerset, Kentucky to Lester Shephard and the late Grace
Randall Shephard. Mrs. Smith was a sales clerk for Walmart, where
she enjoyed working and interacting with her fellow employees.
Mrs. Smith enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a
member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith married Glenn
Smith on August 21, 1970 and he survives her.
Along with her husband, she
is survived by her father, Lester Shephard of Somerset; special
cousins, Joe Frank (and Jamie) Niekirk; and several other cousins
and uncles.
She was preceded in death
by her mother, Grace Randall Shephard.
Visitation for Mrs. Smith
will be on Sunday, January 22nd at 6:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
Monday, January 23rd at 12 noon at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home with Dr. John Mark Toby officiating.
Interment will be at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
