Jeanine L. Welch, age 60 of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday,  at her residence.

She was born on July 28, 1951 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Roy and Margaret Morris McCracken.  She was formerly employed by Wal-Mart and worked at a bakery.  She was a member of Potter’s Place Church.  Mrs. Welch loved her church.  She was a very loving and giving woman, a loving mother and grandmother.  Mrs. Welch was an excellent homemaker. 

Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband, William A. Welch, Jr., whom she married on May 2, 2003; a son, Rodney (and Bethany) Head of Beattyville, KY; a daughter, Angela (and Russ) Adams of Somerset, KY; seven grandchildren, Shania Head, Christina Head, Zachary Head, Julia Head, Peyton Gabbard, Chesney Adams and Breydon Adams; and two sisters, Janice (and Jack) Wren of Burn, Texas and Virginia Ruth (and Stan) Orner of Baltimore, Maryland. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Johnny Bullock, whom she thought of as a father. 

Visitation for Mrs. Welch will be Friday, August 12, 2011 after 11:00 am with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky with Brother Clyde Strunk officiating.  Interment will be in Mill Springs Cemetery.
