Jesse B. Johnson, age 85 of
Somerset, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, May 27, 2011 at
Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
He was born on March 21,
1926 in Jackson County, KY to the late Millard and Grethel Lakes
Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired from General Motors, Frigidaire
Division in Dayton, OH after 27 years of service. After retirement
he moved to Somerset and worked as a salesman for Sharpe Marine
Company for several years.
Mr. Johnson is survived by
his wife, Dortha Johnson; two daughters, Becky (and Quincy) Long
of Miamisburg, OH and Connie Rosellen of Sebastian, FL; three
stepdaughters, Pat (and Eddie) Casada of Science Hill, KY,
Charlotte (and Mike) Day and Christy (and Al) Newell , both of
Somerset; four grandchildren, Kimmie Sue Gotthardt, Stephena,
Kenney, and Kevin Rosellen; five great grandchildren; three
brothers, Ova Johnson of Richmond, IN, Otis Johnson of Indiana;
and Jerry Johnson of Colorado; a sister, Ruby Strong
of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he
was preceded in death by a sister, Corena Gomez.
A visitation for Mr.
Johnson will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 12 Noon at
the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with his funeral
service to follow at 2:00 pm. Bro. J.S. New will officiate. Burial
will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family requests
