James Lawrence "Jim" Mize, 78, of Mooresville , Indiana , passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Frances Hospital in Mooresville , Indiana .

He was born in Somerset , Kentucky on February 9, 1933, son of the late Bert and Retta Harris Mize.  He was a truck driver and factory worker.  He was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church .

He is survived by his wife, Betty Adams Mize of Mooresville , IN and one sister, Lura Sears of Somerset .

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harold Mize and Donald Mize and four sisters, Rita Whitaker, Lucille Price, Lena Price and Florence Mize.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Visitation will be after 3 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Entombment will be in Short Creek Cemetery at a later date.
