Jimmy E. Tarter, age 59 of
Nancy, KY departed this life on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on December 2,
1951 in Nancy, KY to Dorothy Baker Tarter and the late Ed Tarter.
Mr. Tarter had worked as a surveyor for Bobby Hudson Surveying
Company and was of the Christian faith. He liked hunting, four
wheeling, and loved to joke and tell tall tales. Mr. Tarter was a
loving son and brother and will be greatly missed by a host of
relatives and friends.
Mr. Tarter is survived by
his mother, Dorothy Baker Tarter of Nancy, KY; two daughters,
Paula Tarter of Whitley City, KY and Ashley Tarter of Port
Charlotte, FL; three sisters, Louise (and Gary) Stutesman of
Goodland, IN, Nancy (and Leland) Burton of Nancy, KY, and Barbara
Tarter of Nancy, KY; and three nieces, Linda Stutesman, Karen
Burton, and Cindy Stevenson.
He was preceded in death by
his father, Ed Tarter.
Visitation for Mr. Tarter
will be Sunday, February 20th at 12 Noon at the Chapel
of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow
at 2:00 pm. Bro. Mark Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the
Burge Cemetery in Nancy, Ky.
