John Phillip Roeger, age 63
of Somerset, KY departed this life on Friday, February 4, 2011 at
the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
He was born May 22, 1947 in
Muncie, IN to the late Jack E. and Betty Roeger. He was a United
States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, a wood worker for Glen
Oaks Lumber, and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Roeger enjoyed his
computer.
Mr. Roeger is survived by
his wife, Brenda Bell Roeger, whom he married on July 6, 2000 in
Somerset, KY; a stepson, Eddie Sears of Somerset, KY; a step
grandchild, James Arthur Sears; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Jack and Betty Roeger.
Visitation will be on
Saturday, February 5th at 12 Noon at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 2:00
pm. Bro. David Muse will officiate. A graveside service will be
held on Monday, February 7th at 10:00 am at Lakeside
Memorial Gardens with the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard
conducting full military honors.
