Joseph P. Hall March 17, 1928 - April 11, 2008
Joseph P. Hall, age 80, of Bridge Hollow Slate Branch Rd. Somerset passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was
born in Somerset on March 17, 1928 to the late George Reddish and Ida
Duncan Hall. He was affiliated with the Slate Branch Baptist Church.
Joseph was a lifetime member of the VFW, after serving in the Marine
Corp during the Korean War. He was recognized in Who’s Who. He retired
from United Tech Research Center in East Hartford, CT. He enjoyed
fishing, U.K. Basketball, and gardening. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Mary Quinton Hall, whom he married on April 13, 1949 in Nicholasville, KY; two daughters, Bernetta (& Richard) Hughes of Downingtown, PA, and Brenda Kaye (& Jeffrey) Schiavetti of Stafford Springs, CT; a brother, George R. Hall Jr. of Somerset; two sisters, Delores Hatfield of Somerset, and Odessa Douglass of Somerset; and six grandchildren, Katie Hughes, Richard Hughes III, Joseph Hughes, Christine Hughes, Jayme (& Christopher) Valitis, and Amanda Schiavetti. Along
with his parents he is preceded in death by six brothers, Thomas Hall,
Albert Hall, Charles Hall, David Hall, Paul Lawrence Hall, and an infant
brother. Funeral
services for Joseph P. Hall will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at
the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 11:00am with Rev. Bill
Dawson officiating. Military honors preformed by American Legion Post
#38 Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation
will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 10:00am at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
