Joseph Scott Mayfield March 8, 1982 - May 13, 2008
Mr.
Joseph Scott Mayfield, age 26, of Somerset, departed this life on
Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at his residence. He was
born on March 8, 1982 in Dayton, OH to Randy Mayfield and Kathy Briley
Diaz. He was a supervisor for Rose Pallett Company and a member of the
Chimney Rock Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, bike riding, the
outdoors, and his family. Mr.
Mayfield is survived by his wife, Perla Torres Mayfield, whom he married
on February 4, 2005 in Bronston, KY; father and step mother, Randy (and
Cindy) Mayfield of Shopville, KY; mother and stepfather, Kathy (and Lou)
Briley Diaz of Dayton, OH; two brothers, Brian (and Laura) Mayfield of
Ft. Campbell, KY and Benjamin (and Anna) Lindsay of Richmond, KY; a
sister, Taylor Diaz of Dayton, OH; paternal grandparents, Bethel and
Jean Mayfield of Squib-Ano community; maternal grandparents, Larry and
Patty Briley of Dayton, OH; his mother and father-in-law, Alfonso and
Abigail Torres of Mexico; a sister-in-law, Cinthya (and Kelley) Bullock
of Somerset; two brothers-in-law, Alfonso Torres and Israel Torres, both
of Mexico; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral
services will be Monday, May 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Mark New officiating. Burial will
follow in the Inabnitt-Raney Cemetery. Visitation
will be Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Joseph Scott Mayfield Memorial Fund c/o Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, KY 42503.
