Colene Demple Morrow, 72, Antioch Ave. Burnside, passed away Wednesday June 26, 2002 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born August 25, 1929 in Cooper Community of Wayne County, a daughter of the late Tom H. Hill and Adell (Hill) Hill. She was a retired press operator for Modern Dry Cleaning, a member of the Fidelas Order #454 of Eastern Star, Nancy, KY. and a member of Grave Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband; Bobby L. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday June 28, 2002 at Grave Hill Baptist Church with Brother Bobby Clark and Brother Darry Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in grave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 P. M. Thursday June 27, 2002 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Gladys Rose (Coleman) Phelps, 67, Reece Phelps Road passed away, Wednesday June 26, 2002 at her residence.

She was born March 6, 1935, in Kings Mt. KY., a daughter of the late Shack Coleman and Olma (Brown) Coleman. She was a homemaker and a member of Meadow Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband; Reece Phelps whom she married in march 1955, one son; Danny K. (Beverly) Phelps, Bethelridge, one brother; David Coleman, Kings Mt., five sisters; Gracie rose, Monticello, Faye Emmerson and Maggie Wesley, both of Waynesburg, Patricia Adams, Danville and Michia Jones, Kings Mt.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Gertrude (Jasper) Aker, 85, 28th St. Portsmouth, OH. passed away Thursday June 13, 2002 at Hillview Health Care Facility in Portsmouth, OH.

She was born February 23, 1917 in Hogue, KY. a daughter of the late Gideon Wesley "Gid" Jasper and Lucy (Coffey) Jasper. She was a graduate of Miami University, a school teacher at Trotwood Madison School in Trotwood, OH. and a member of Science Hill United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son; Steve Aker, Sterling Heights, MI., one daughter; Barbara Bawazer, Portsmouth, OH., one brother Rod Jasper, Fairfax, VA. , two sisters; Nell Barnes, Somerset, KY. and Ruth Hamilton, Rome GA., five grandchildren; Steve Aker, Jr., Jimmy Aker, Alia Bawazer, Luke Bawazer and Joey Bawazer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Gay V. Aker whom she married on June 17, 1939 and who passed away June 2, 1991, two brothers; Velber and Marvin Jasper, four sisters; Dorothy Ramsey, Jerry Emmerich, Fan Walsh and Susan Jasper.

Edith (King) Partin, 81, West Hwy 635 passed away Friday June 7, 2002 at her residence.

She was born April 1, 1921 in Buffalo, TN., a daughter of the late James David King and Amanda (Lambdin) King. She was a homemaker and a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.

Kenneth Gene Loveless, 58, Prather drive passed away suddenly Friday June 7, 2002 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born October 3, 1943 in Norwood, OH. the son of the late M. C. Loveless and Willie (Rainwater) Loveless. He was an employee of the State Hwy. Department, a former salesman for D & D Monuments, a former employee of Lear Seigler and a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Linda (Baker) Loveless whom he married on June 27, 1964, one son: Ron (and Portia) Loveless, Versailles, KY., one aunt; Mildred Loveless Dalton, Norwood, OH., one brother-in-law; Ronald (and Judy) Baker, Faubush, KY. and one sister-in-law; Regina (and Billy) Vanhooser, Somerset, KY.

Clarence Pumphrey, 81, Goochtown Road passed away Thursday June 6, 2002a at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born October 21, 1920, a son of the late Edwin Pumphrey and Lillie (Anderson) Pumphrey. He was a U. S. Army PFC. WW II veteran, a 1939 graduate of Eubank High School, a Laborer for Oran’s Truck Stop, a retired farmer and a member of Goochtown Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife; Lucinda (Adams) Pumphrey whom he married on December 31, 1943, one son; Jr. (and Tina) Pumphrey, Eubank, three daughters; Carol (and Hulen) Wilson, Somerset, Sandra (And Kenny) Blevins and Marie (and Kenneth) Smallwood both of Eubank, one brother Cecil Pumphrey, Danville, Iowa, five grandchildren: Ken (and Sheila) Blevins, Eubank, Brian (and Vicki) Wilson, Somerset, Patrick (and Cindy) Pumphrey, Eubank, September Pumphrey, Eubank and Chad Smallwood, Eubank, and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Foster Pumphrey, and one great grand child, Douglas Blevins.
