Kathleen F. Ping, 89,
Roaming Shores, Ohio, formerly of Ocala, Florida and Burnside,
Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011. She was
born on April 9, 1922 in Lawrence, Indiana, daughter of Cecil and
Mary Hudson. She married Ralph B. Ping. He preceded her in
death.
Kathleen was a resident of
Burnside-Somerset, Kentucky and was the owner of the Bunker Hill
Pottery Shop for many years. She moved to Ocala, Florida
after her husband’s death to live close to her daughter, Donna
Dems, who passed away on July 19, 2011. She then moved to
Ohio to live with her granddaughter, Charolette Longhitano and
family.
Kathleen was a warm,
caring, and loving Christian woman that enjoyed being with people.
She loved to visit her family and friends and loved to travel.
She also enjoyed cooking and baking. There was always a
cake, pie or cookies on the table when friends and family stopped
by for a visit. She was deeply loved and will be missed by
all she knew.
She is survived by
granddaughter Charolette (Anthony), son-in-law William Dems,
grandchildren Lisa, Lori Ann and William, Jr., brothers Sonny
(Effie) Hudson and Jack (Karen) Hudson, 8 great
grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her parents Cecil and Mary Hudson, husband Ralph Ping, daughter
Donna Jean Dems, 2 grandchildren Russell Meece and Rodney Meece,
and 4 sisters Betty, Helen, Ruth and Shirley.
Visitation will be held
from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Lake Cumberland
Funeral Home, 1046 W. Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky.
A graveside service will be
held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 21, 2011 at Lakeside Memorial
Gardens Mausoleum. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial
Gardens.
The family request
