Kenneth Ray Ward, age 61 of
the Grundy community, departed this life on January 24, 2011 at
his residence.
He was born on April 28,
1949 in Somerset, KY to the late Willie and Sarah Jane Sears Ward.
Mr. Ward was a self-employed truck driver and of the Baptist
faith.
Mr. Ward is survived by his
wife, Sue Ann Gossett Ward, whom he married on May 31, 2006 in
Somerset; a son, Kyle Ward (and wife, Lou Ellen) of Somerset, KY;
three daughters, Kim Ward Decker (and husband, Noah) of Somerset,
KY, Dana Ward Glover (and husband, Jameson) of Somerset, KY, and
Kelsey of Somerset, KY; the mother of his children, Arlene Ward of
Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Shanoah Decker, Katie Decker,
Jarred Ward, Kenzie Glover, Kaleb Ward, Ashton Glover, Conner
Glover, and Kylie Hannah Ward; two brothers, Carl Ward (and wife,
Karen) of Dayton, OH and Mitchell Ward (and wife, Betty) of
Somerset, KY; a sister, Hazel Jane West (and husband, Danny) of
Science Hill, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Along with his parents, he
was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer “Janell” Ward and
a brother, J.C. Ward.
Visitation for Mr. Ward
will be Thursday, January 27th at 5:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 28th at the Chapel
of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Richard West
officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Science
Hill, KY.
The family requests
expressions of sympathy be made to the Kenneth Ray Ward Memorial
Fund c/o Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
