Lara Geneva Gover, age 78
of Somerset, KY departed this life on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at
the Somerwoods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on July 13,
1932 in VanHook, KY to the late Henry and Minnie Bullock McKinney.
She worked for 46 years at the Palm Beach Clothing Factory and was
a member of the Barnesburg Baptist Church. Mrs. Gover loved to
garden and enjoyed her church and gospel singings. She was a
loving mother.
Mrs. Gover is survived by
her husband, Hollis Edward Gover; two sons, Mike (and Beverly)
Gover of the Barnesburg community and Jeffrey (and Cheryl) Gover
of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Tanner McCalister and Rachel
Gregory; two great grandchildren, James Gregory and Callen
Gregory; a brother, J.W. (and Vonda) McKinney of Falmouth, KY; and
a sister, Juanita Mize of Somerset, KY.
Along with her parents, she
was preceded in death by a brother, Carl McKinney; father&
mother-in-law, Clifford & Oda Gover; and a brother-in-law,
Bobby Gover.
Visitation for Mrs. Gover
will be Tuesday, February 15th at 5:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 16th at the
Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Austin Campbell
officiating. Burial will be in the Whitis Cemetery.
The family requests
