Leah
Elizabeth Baugh, age 86 of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life
in Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She
was born on October 20, 1924 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late
Frank and Elizabeth Meyer Rusch. Leah was formerly an
operator at Southern Continental Telephone Company and worked in
Lexington at Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was co-owner of
Villager Resort from 1963-1990. She enjoyed boating,
cooking, gardening, sewing, arts and crafts.
Mrs.
Baugh is survived by a son, David Lee (and Donna) Baugh of
Bronston, KY; three daughters, Phyllis Ann (and James) Rasnick of
Somerset, KY, Patty Lynn Burchell of Bowling Green, KY and
Katherine Jean (and Russ) Pear of Lexington, KY; seven
grandchildren, Laura Glover, Cynthia Portugal, Marsha Quinlan,
Jennifer McWhorter, Heather Polson, Leah Pear and Clay Pear; six
great-grandchildren, Anna Portugal, Jimmy Quinlan, Luca Portugal,
Katheryn Glover, Jona Portugal and Lilly McWhorter; and her twin
sister, Irene Hartnett of Shelbyville, IN.
Along
with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Charles Baugh; two brothers, Frank and Eugene Rusch; and a sister,
Catherine Arban.
Visitation
for Mrs. Baugh will be on Friday, August 12, 2011 after 10:00 am
with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at the Chapel of
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset,
Kentucky, Reverend Richard Held officiating. Interment will
be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jed
Kerkhoff, Clay Pear, Tim McWhorter, Jeremy Polson, James Rasnick
and Russ Pear.
