Lola Fern Bray, age 75, of
Ferguson, KY passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Lake
Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Lola Fern Bray was born in
Somerset, KY on May 19, 1935 to the late Joe and Ethel Perry
Pence. Mrs. Bray was a retired seamstress for Palm Beach Clothing
Factory, who loved sewing and quilting and an avid UK basketball
fan. She loved taking long rides, walks in the country, spending
time with all of her family, and gardening. Mrs. Bray was a member
of Ferguson Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bray is survived by
her husband, Dewey Bray, whom she married on July 20, 1957 at East
Somerset Baptist Church; a son, Bro. Rondal (& Wilmouth) Bray
of Richmond, KY; a daughter; Melissa (& Ritchie) Spaw of
Somerset, KY; a brother, Ray (& Darlene) Pence of Somerset,
KY; two sisters, Dorothy Bumgardner of Indianapolis, IN and
Rosemary Glover of Ferguson, KY; and three grandchildren, Chase
Spaw, Braydyn Spaw, and Lofton Spaw.
Along with her parents, she
is preceded in death by a brother; James Pence; a sister, Helen
Sexton; and two brother in-laws, Ed Glover, and Jim Bumgardner.
Visitation will be held on
Friday, February 25, 2011 at 6:00pm at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral services for Lola
Fern Bray will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in the
Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 11:00am with Bro.
Darrell Vance officiating. Interment will follow in Clay Hill
Cemetery.
