Lola Francis Warren Denton, 82, of Science Hill , Kentucky , passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital .

She was born in Rock Lick, Kentucky on September 1, 1928, daughter of the late John Ashley and Biddie Susan Dick Warren.  She was a nurse's aide for Hilltop Rest Home and a member of First Baptist Church of Science Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Ira Edwin "Ted" Denton, whom she married on August 17, 1945, five children, Steve & (Roseanna Marie) Denton, Geneva & (Ronnie James) Wesley and Ralph & (Judy Carolyn) Denton, all of Science Hill, Lavene & (Andrew) Martin of Tampa, FL and Ray Denton of Ft. Myers, FL, six grandchildren, Stephen Michael Denton, Karen Sue Haste, Brian James Wesley, Julie Michelle Denton, Jessica Ashley Martin and Cole Denton, four great-grandchildren, Chasida Saxon, Samson Denton, Veronica Denton and Trevor Denton, three great-great-grandchildren, Olin Denton, Dakota Saxon and Kendrick Saxon, two brothers, Amos Ira Warren of Science Hill and Clarence "Red" Warren of Shopville and two sisters, Beulah Easterly of Mt. Zion, KY and Maureen "Margie" Dykes of Dahl, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, Craig Martin Denton and seven siblings, Opal, Ernie, Louie, Elsie, Vernie, Nellie and Eddie.

Private services will be held.

Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery .
