Lorena
Hill Sears, age 94 of Somerset, KY departed this life on Tuesday,
May 3, 2011 at Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation in Somerset,
KY.
She
was born on June 16, 1916 in Somerset, KY to the late Will and
Flora Nichols Hill. She was a member of the Pitman Creek
Baptist Church. Mrs. Sears was a homemaker. She loved
quilting, canning, freezing and working in the garden.
She
is survived by one son, Edward Sears of Louisville, KY; one
grandchild, Eddie Sears of Somerset, KY; one great grandchild,
James Arthur Sears of Somerset, KY; and one sister, Zelma of
Dayton, OH.
Along
with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur
Sears; a brother, Hollis Hill; and two sisters, Irene and Lela B.
Visitation
for Mrs. Sears will be Thursday, May 5th after 6:00 pm
at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset,
KY.
Funeral
service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the
Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother David Muse
officiating. Burial will be in the Pitman Creek Cemetery.
