Iriadia Mae Brock

February 25, 1923 - June 19, 2008

Iriadia Mae Brock of Nancy, KY, entered into her eternal life Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was 85. Mrs. Brock had made her home at Britthaven of Somerset since March 1, 2006.

Mrs. Brock was born on February 25, 1923 to the late Benjamin Shelby and Charitie Belle Burton of the Delmer community. On March 5, 1939 she was united in marriage to Grover Arthur Brock, son of the late George and Cora Muse Brock of Delmer.  He preceded her in death on September 1, 1993. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and crafts. Mrs. Brock was a member of the Delmer Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. and Mrs. Brock were parents of four children; Marcella Burton (deceased February16, 1994), Frances Burton of Nancy, KY, Shelvy (and Carol) Brock of Kentland, IN, and Rosie (and Dorman) Lane of Nancy, KY. She is also survived by two sisters, Lou Verna Brock of Somerset and Rhodia Jane (and Harold) Stevenson of Clarksville, TN; and a brother, Johnnie (and Sue) Burton of Deland, IL. Preceding her in death were brothers, Wilbert, Davise, Roy, Harold, Gilbert, Elgie, and Russell; sisters, Marie, Mary and Edna; and sons-in-law, David Muse and Dale Burton.

Mr. and Mrs. Brock were the grandparents of Linda Branshaw, Cary Burton, Scottie Burton, Ginger Nicole Woods, Danny Burton, Sherry Davis, Sheila Burton, Douglas Brock, and Derrick Brock. They were also blessed with 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home to celebrate her life on Sunday, June 22^nd after 6:00 pm.

Celebration of Life service will be held at Remembrance Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home on Monday, June 23rd at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Morgan officiating, with resting place at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gideons Memorial Bible Plan or to the Delmer Church of the Nazarene.
