Margaret Faye Smith, age 70
of Somerset departed this life on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at
the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on August 12,
1941 in Waynesburg, KY to the late Johnnie and Mildred Hasty
Falconberry. Ms. Smith was a homemaker, wonderful mother and
grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, visiting and spending time with
family, working in her yard, and doing word search puzzles. She
loved to help people in need. Ms. Smith was a member of the
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Ms. Smith is survived by
her son, Michael Smith of Somerset; a daughter, Sheila (and
Morris) Washburn of Somerset; her grandchildren, Jeramie Wayne
Baker of Somerset, Brandi Caudill Fitzgerald (and Chris) of
Burnside, KY, Brittany Lee Caudill of Lancaster, KY, Austin Paul
Smith of Somerset, and Lily Hope Price of Somerset; a great
grandchild, Camden Lee Fitzgerald; three brothers, Gary
Falconberry of Crab Orchard, KY, Larry (and Marlene) Falconberry
of Somerset, and Delyn Falconberry of Tateville, KY; and a special
friend, Joyce Harris.
Along with her parents, she
was preceded in death by a son, Earl Lee Meeks; two brothers,
James and Harold Falconberry; and two sisters, Marcella Cassidy
and Anna Belle Willis.
Visitation for Ms. Smith
will be Sunday, November 27th at 6:00 pm at the Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
held on Monday, November 28th at 2:00 pm at the Chapel
of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating.
Burial will be in the Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY.
