Mary Nell Thompson, age 81
of Somerset, departed this life on Monday, December 12, 2011 at
the Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Somerset.
She was born on July 4,
1930 in Oolitic, IN to John Dennis and Maudie Flynn Nicholas. Mrs.
Thompson was a sales clerk for Delk & French Shoe Store and a
member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thompson is survive by
three brothers, Fairel Nicholas of Lakewood, CA, Dempsey Nicholas
of Somerset, and John D. Nicholas Jr. of Cincinnati, OH; five
sisters-in-law, Nina Nicholas of Somerset, Helen Nicholas of
Lakewood, CA, Janet Nicholas of Cincinnati, OH, Katherine Thompson
of Burnside, KY, and Ruth Ann Thompson of Burnside, KY; and a host
of nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn her passing.
Along with her parents, she
is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Thompson; a daughter,
Carolyn Sue Thompson; three brothers, Hubert Nicholas, Oscar
Nicholas, and Clifford Nicholas; and a sister, Stella Mae
Nicholas.
Visitation for Mrs.
Thompson will be Tuesday, December 13th at 5:00 pm at
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be
Wednesday, December 14th at Noon at the Chapel of Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home with Dr. John Mark Toby officiating.
Burial will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
