Maye (Miller) Dykes Strunk

January 9, 1912 - July 23, 2008

Maye (Miller) Dykes Strunk, 96, of Way Cross Street in Somerset, Kentucky,
passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 9, 1912, daughter of the late Samuel M. and Dora Hargis Miller.  She was a homemaker and a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mended Hearts Club.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Juanita Dykes of Abilene, TX, one
grandson, Michael Dykes of Denver, CO, four step children, Charles Edward & (Nancy) Strunk, Dennis & (Jo Beth) Strunk and Linda & (James) Hughes, all of Ferguson and William Douglas & (Laura) Strunk of Science Hill, twenty four step grandchildren and a host of step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Everett Dykes,
second husband, Charles Strunk, two sons, Oran G. "Gib" Dykes and Bobby Joe Dykes and four brothers, Wilson, Carl, James and Joe Miller.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Morris &
Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. John Mark Toby officiating.

Burial will be in Clay Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
