, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at his residence.
He
was born in
Augusta
,
Kentucky
on February 26, 1938, son of the late William Stanley and
Elizabeth Booth Habermehl. He was retired from the U.S. Army
after 6 years and the U.S. Air Force after 14 years. He was
a member of
Eubank
Baptist
Church
, VFW Post 5358 in Eubank and loved to read his Bible daily.
He
is survived by his wife, Opal Rutherford Habermehl of Eubank, one
son, Stanley & (Frances) Habermehl of Plainfield, IN, one
daughter, Jewell & (Barry) Lukat of Science Hill, one brother,
Bill & (Mary Sue) Habermehl of Augusta, KY, one sister, Eva
Dean of Aberdeen, OH, one special granddaughter, Heather Habermehl,
his special doggie, "Wolfie" and a host of nieces and
nephews.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, James,
Ronnie and David Habermehl and one sister, Rosemary Denton.
A
funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 12, 2011
at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Sutton
officiating.
Military
honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
Burial
will be in
Freedom
Cemetery

Visitation
will be after 5 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
