Mildred E. Dozier, age 79 of Bronston, Kentucky, departed this life on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Ephraim-McDowell Hospital in Danville, Kentucky.

She was born on February 27, 1932 in Burnside, Kentucky to the late George Caleb and Mary Foster Jones.  Mrs. Dozier was of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed crocheting and growing flowers.  She loved her family. 

She is survived by a son, Herb Dozier, Jr. of Bronston, KY (and his fiancé, Tanomie Richardson); a daughter, Sharon (and David) Vanhoosier of Bronston, KY; four grandchildren, Adam Vanhoosier (and Daphne Allen), Hannah Dozier, Terra White, Terry White, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Terrina and Terris White; two brothers, Bobby (and Pauline) Jones of Louisville, KY and Jay C. Jones of Palm Dale, California; two sisters, Joyce (and Jim) Schutte of Cincinnati, OH and Jo Anne (and J.H.) Short of Cincinnati, OH. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. Dozier, Sr., whom she married in Cincinnati, Ohio; and a son, Terry White.

Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2011 after 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky with funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm.  Brother J. S. New will officiate.  Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
